I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
